After trying for two years to get pregnant with the aid of fertility medication, we began the adoption process, only to be surprised and thrilled to discover that we were pregnant with our beautiful little Alia. We have been blessed with this amazing little girl who has brought so much joy into our lives. She is a sweet, happy little girl and can brighten almost anyone’s day with just a smile and a wave. We are hoping to add another little angel to our family by resuming the adoption process. From the beginning of our marriage, we both felt that adoption was something God wanted us to do, and the fertility challenges that we have faced are a confirmation of this. We have seen the many blessings that adoption has brought into the lives of close family members, and we can’t wait to experience this for ourselves. Also, Alia can’t wait to be a big sister and have a little sibling to love, play with, and torment – as all big sisters should!
We have been married for 8 years. My, how the time flies! We met while we were attending college, and since graduation have lived in many parts of the country for school and work. We have a very strong relationship, and our personalities really complement each other. We both love to cook (and eat), and we enjoy trying out new recipes from all over the world. Some of our best memories come from cooking and dancing in the kitchen. We also enjoy music of all kinds, and we love to attend concerts and musicals, sing in the church choir, and even just sit around the piano at home singing some of our favorites. We enjoy watching sports and participating in intramural activities such as softball, basketball, and flag football. We are a bit competitive and can often be found in our living room playing a wide variety of games with friends and family. We also are avid movie buffs. We love ‘em all, from the old classics to the current thrillers. But most of all, we love spending time together as a family. Life is definitely a roller coaster, and we are enjoying the ride!
